A major Saudi Arabian utilities body has launched an exclusively online recruitment portal to allow jobs seekers from across the world to submit applications online.
The Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) has launched the portal in a bid to capitalise on the flexibility and the global scope that online recruitment allows. The company’s director of the Electronic Transformation Program, Abdullah Al-Khedher, said that it would provide them with a global view on recruitment.
“We are committed to recruiting more candidates as we are confident that they have great skills and progress potential,” he said. “We see it as a long term investment in human resources, which is why we continuously offer training programs to raise employees’ performance and productivity level.”
Mr Al-Khedher said that the programme will make the process faster and more efficient, and that existing employees would also be able to use the system for internal recruitment or to request transfers between various departments.
He explained that they had taken note of how similar recruitment systems had been effectively implemented in the US and European countries and clearly seen the benefit of them. The system will also contain an electronic attendance system that enables department heads to process employees’ attendance data quickly and accurately, and generate tailor-made electronic reports.
