Leading firms in the financial industry’s are helping lead the way in revitalising post-recession recruitment.
One top staffing expert, Geoff Newman, who founded online recruitment specialist, Recruitment Genius, said the strength of hiring in the finance industry was being supported by certain other sectors too.
“There are certain sectors expanding quickly, like financial services, such as oil, pharmaceuticals, IT, and retail.”
He said that the activity was proving that they are finally leaving the recession behind and starting to show quantifiable growth in certain areas – with the public sector the obvious exception.
Mr Newman was speaking following a panel debate by the Recruitment Society in Manchester which predicted the UK’s largest employers were going to increase recruitment in 2011.
