The company is looking to expand its computing department, in addition to taking on human resources and management staff, creating thousand of employment opportunities for people to take advantage of.
Amazon continues to be a world leader and is dominant in the online marketplace. Over the coming months, Amazon will hire an additional 600 people to work at its new Hemel Hempstead distribution centre, offering many job vacancies to those living locally. Now, the announcement regarding its computer department expansion brings even more good news for those who are out of work.
Christopher North, Amazon’s managing director, said that the next few years would be a busy time for the company as it looked to grow and recruit the best workers that it can find. “We have created thousands of jobs in the UK over the last few years and are delighted to announce that we plan to create thousands more in the next 24 months,” Mr North said.
Amazon continues to expand and stay dominant in the online environment. The company also recently revealed that it is to ship its new Kindle Fire tablets to the UK, enabling more people than ever to enjoy the digital reading experience. With the hundreds of new employment opportunities becoming available in Britain too, Amazon is likely to remain a firm favourite for many consumers and workers alike.
